19. YÜZYIL GELENEKSEL TARAKLI EVLERİNDE RESTORASYON ÖNERİSİ: KÜLTÜREL MİRASIN KORUNMASI VE SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİĞİ KAPSAMINDA İBRAHİM KAYA EVİ ÖRNEĞİNİN İNCELENMESİ

The Taraklı district of Sakarya province is an important settlement in terms of our cultural heritage. The district has preserved its characteristic features with examples of 19th century Ottoman civil architecture and has maintained its existence until today. Taraklı carries aesthetic value with its traditional architectural heritage examples, historical texture built from local materials, and unique identity. In this study, analysis and assessment work was carried out at the İbrahim Kaya House, which is an original example of Ottoman civil architecture, and the fundamental issues regarding the preservation of the structure were identified and evaluated. The preparation of survey, restoration, and restitution projects for the İbrahim Kaya House is of great importance in terms of providing a scientific foundation and guidance for future restoration applications. It is anticipated that the planned restoration works will play a critical role in transferring and preserving Taraklı’s cultural heritage for future generations while protecting the historical and cultural values of the structure. Through this, it is aimed to both strengthen the cultural identity of the local community and increase the region's tourism potential.
