Reassessment confirms motivational trade-offs and modulation of nociception in bumble bees
• Bees display flexible motivational trade-off behaviour. • A critique inferred the use of a wrong model from a misreported output. • This output is now corrected to reflect the correct model used. • Model evaluation shows superior performance across all standard fit metrics. • The correct model confirms and strengthens the original findings.
