Differences between early-onset and late-onset hidradenitis suppurativa: a retrospective single-centre study
This study investigates age-related differences in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) among Asian patients and identifies a bimodal distribution of age at disease onset. Compared with early-onset HS, patients with late-onset HS showed a higher prevalence of smoking and metabolic comorbidities, shorter diagnostic delay and less frequent axillary and nuchal involvement, while overall disease severity remained comparable.
