Kadının Güçlenmesinde ve Psikolojik Dayanıklılığında Yetişkin Eğitiminin Rolü: Türkiye’deki Güncel Durum

This study examines the impact of adult education on women's empowerment and its relationship with psychological resilience. Within the scope of the research, relevant literature, national and international regulations, and indicators concerning adult education and women's empowerment have been analyzed. For the research, a qualitative research approach was adopted, and traditional literature review and document analysis techniques were utilized to address the research questions. The findings indicate that adult education significantly contributes to women's empowerment and, consequently, enhances their psychological resilience. However, for this process to be effective, the factors related to women's empowerment must be addressed through a holistic perspective. On the other hand, the global and national neoliberal economic transformation, which reduces adult education to merely a tool for employment, has been identified as a barrier to this process. In this context, future studies should reconsider education from social, economic, and political perspectives. It has been emphasized that educational programs should be developed in coordination with initiatives aimed at eliminating discriminatory practices against women. Furthermore, it is recommended that educational content be restructured to enhance women's awareness of gender issues, fundamental rights, and freedoms, and to encourage their active participation in society.
