Characterization and genetic dissection of the powdery mildew resistance in cultivated emmer wheat accession L424
In the present study, a Pm gene PmL424 was identified using genetic analysis, BSR-Seq analysis and molecular markers in the cultivated emmer wheat accession L424, and three key candidate genes were also captured through time-course analysis post inoculation with Bgt isolate E09. Potential regulatory genes were also identified through DEG analysis using GO and KEGG pathway analysis, unraveling their potential transcriptional regulation mechanisms when fighting Bgt invasion. These multi-dimensional analyses provide valuable insights into the dissection of the molecular and genetic basis underlying the powdery mildew resistance, as well as establishing a foundation for MAS using PmL424.
