Efficient Agrobacterium rhizogenes ‐Mediated Transformation of Poplar via Transgenic Hairy Root Shoot Regeneration

SUMMARY STATEMENT We established a rapid and efficient Agrobacterium rhizogenes –mediated transformation and regeneration system in multiple Populus species, enabling genotype‐independent, fluorescence‐based selection and stable CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing for functional genomics and molecular breeding.
