<i>Cinchona</i> -derived squaramide organocatalyzed asymmetric domino aza-Friedel–Crafts/hemiketalization of acenaphthenequinoneimines and naphthols
Chiral furanonaphtho-acenaphthene derivatives with excellent stereoselectivities (>99 : 1 dr and 90–>99% ee) were obtained through a novel aza-Friedel–Crafts/hemiketalization. Compound 6af exhibited optimal cytotoxicity against the A549 cell line.
