GÜNCEL SANAT PRATİĞİNDE EV MEKÂNININ PERFORMATİF BİR ALAN OLARAK HETEROTOPİK KURGUSU

The house, which is fundamentally an architectural object, has a quality that is frequently discussed by disciplines based on humans, in terms of its structural nature as well as its cultural and phenomenological dimensions, within historical/current contexts. The concept of house, which emerges as examples reflecting different subjects and practices in contemporary art, has been interpreted in connection with the concept of heterotopia based on the works of art included in this research. The concept of heterotopia, developed by the French thinker Michel Foucault, is read on the basis of the relationality of different elements contained within a space as a concept related to space. The concept, which offers us a multi-dimensional reading of space, is addressed within the scope of the research together with art production practices aimed at the image of home, while examples of contemporary art in which there is an active communication between objects, spaces and people are included. In this sense, the three-dimensional home-space arrangements of contemporary artists Olivia Erlanger, Alex Da Corte and Volkan Aslan, where practices such as video and performance are used together, have been examined in terms of the structure of the concept of heterotopia that opens up to different intertwined spatialities. Keywords: Heterotopia, Space, Home, Art, Contemporary Art.
