Development and Extension of a Robot Network Platform Using RSNP
Robots are increasingly desired for various tasks as societal challenges become more complex. Networking robots and sensors using the common robot service network protocol (RSNP) creates a platform to address regional challenges. We developed a control system for seamless switching between remote operation and autonomous navigation of network-connected robots. To expand robot services, we have implemented object detection capabilities and enabled rapid, extensive movement using drones, thereby reducing human burden during patrols.
