Stepwise single-crystal-to-single-crystal phase transition in copper-based coordination polymers triggered by solvent release
Stepwise single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformations of a coordination polymer yield a series of structurally distinct phases. The removal of methanol triggers rearrangements from a 1D chain to a double-chain, and to a 2D layered architecture.
