Havalimanı Operasyonlarında Kimyasal Riskler: Kaynaklar, Etkiler ve Yönetim Stratejileri
This study comprehensively examines the sources, impacts, and management strategies of chemical risks encountered in airport operations. Chemical substances released from aircraft fuels, cleaning agents, de-icing fluids, and emissions pose significant threats to both worker health and environmental sustainability. Literature findings indicate that exposure to these chemicals may lead to respiratory illnesses, skin conditions, and contamination of water resources. Secondary risks such as terrorism threats, ground traffic, and lead emissions are also evaluated. In this context, the study proposes multi-dimensional strategies to mitigate risks, including the use of electric ground support equipment, waste management systems, engineering controls, and personal protective equipment. The study is based on secondary sources and is limited to the analysis of chemical risks. In conclusion, the effective management of chemical hazards at airports is critically important for occupational safety and environmental protection.
