Frailty in hidradenitis suppurativa: a case–control study
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory condition associated with multimorbidity. Frailty is a syndrome of decreased reserve, the prevalence of which increases with multimorbidity and is associated with increased mortality as well as health resource utilization and costs. This case–control study is the first to quantify frailty in HS, and we report statistically worse frailty scores and higher body mass index in patients with HS compared with non-HS controls.
