Meşhur Akliyecimiz Fahreddin Kerim Bey’den: Ruhun Derinliklerine Nasıl Girilir?

This research note examines the article titled "Freud Mekteb-i Felsefesi: Ruhun Derinliklerine Nasıl Girilir" ("The School of Freud's Philosophy: How to Delve into the Depths of the Soul"), published in 1926 in Hilal-i Ahdar by Fahreddin Kerim [Gökay], one of the leading neuropsychiatrists of the period. Fahreddin Kerim [Gökay] attended the 7th International Psychoanalysis Congress held in Berlin in 1922, where he had the opportunity to meet Sigmund Freud in person. In his article in Hilal-i Ahdar, he provides, for the first time, insights into the content of his conversation with Freud. Additionally, by drawing on historical references in his pursuit of understanding the human brain and psyche, he offers reflections on the prevailing psychiatric perspectives of his time.
