VNA İçin Belirsizlik Hesaplama Yöntemlerinin İncelenmesi
Reflection and transmission coefficient measurements with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) are important as well as uncertainty calculations that indicate which error bands the measurements are in. Two methods called Ripple and Rigorous are used in uncertainty calculations of VNA measurements. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages compared to each other. In this study, the rigorous and ripple uncertainty calculation methods are explained, and the uncertainty calculation components of each method are described. And, how the metrological traceability chain is provided in both methods is also included in this study. In addition, the comparison of uncertainty calculations of reflection and transmission coefficient measurements of a two-port passive circuit element performed with the two calculation methods is also given in this study. This study has been prepared to be a guide for all VNAs, especially calibration and testing laboratories that will perform VNA uncertainty calculations.
