Black hole quasinormal modes, greybody factors and quasi-periodic oscillations in teleparallel Born-Infeld gravity

This paper presents a detailed analysis of several physical aspects, including scalar quasinormal modes (QNMs), greybody factors, and orbital dynamics of black holes in teleparallel Born–Infeld gravity with coupling λ. Employing a sixth–order WKB approximation and Pad–improved methods, we show that finite λ increases the real frequencies Re(ω) and damping rates |Im(ω)|, asymptotically recovering Schwarzschild values as λ → ∞. On the other hand, the inspection of the lower bounds on greybody transmission via the Visser–Boonserm formalism demonstrates enhancement in the high-frequency transparency for larger λ. Furthermore, computed epicyclic and periastron precession frequencies for circular orbits reveal Born–Infeld corrections to orbital motion. These findings furnish templates for gravitational–wave ringdown and X–ray quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) observations and suggest potential constraints on λ.
