Annotated checklist of the genus Cosmopterix (Lepidoptera, Cosmopterigidae) in Korea

An annotated checklist of the genus Cosmopterix Hübner, [1825] (Lepidoptera: Cosmopterigidae) from Korea is presented. The study is based on the examination of newly collected specimens and previous literature. A total of 23 species is recognized from Korea and enumerated with their available information. For each taxon, distributional data, host plant, and diagnostic information are provided, with genitalia slides deposited in national and institutional collections. The results considerably expand the known diversity of the genus in Korea and provide a refined basis for further systematic, faunistic, and molecular studies on the family Cosmopterigidae.
