Analysis of jump content in competitive programs of young figure skaters aged 8-11 years

The purpose of the study was to identify the dynamics of technical preparedness indicators in the competitive programs of young figure skaters aged 8–11 years. Research methods: collection and analysis of judges' evaluations of figure skaters, calculation of the proportion of jumping elements in the three segments of figure skating competitions, pedagogical observations. Research results and conclusions. The results of detailed scoring at the All-Russian competitions "S.A. Zhuk Memorial" among boys and girls (younger age group) in figure skating from 2015 to 2025 for athletes aged 8–11 are presented. The proportions of solo jumps, jump combinations, and sequences among young figure skaters were identified in the following competition segments: elements, short program, and free program. A trend of increasing technical proficiency among 8–11-year-old figure skaters has been observed, reflected in the growing complexity of the jumping content in competitive programs.
