Achieving correction of moderate to severe hallux valgus deformity of the 1st metatarsal by Proximal opening wedge osteotomy using a locking plate (A prospective study).
Proximal opening wedge osteotomy is considered a powerful technique that can be performed with technical easy and the benefit of using a harfesting autograft from the bunion itself helped us preventing non union or delayed union. The using of a locking plates gave us good stability and early weight bearing.
