Towards Spatio Temporal Graph Representations for Historical Spatial Data
This paper explores the use of spatio-temporal graphs to analyse social dynamics from historical documents such as maps and fiscal registers. Historians often face difficulties in combining various document types to study the evolution of human activities over time. Our research addresses the challenges of identifying specific social dynamic characteristics and effectively modelling these dynamics for easier data retrieval. We propose a framework to encode historical data, enhancing computer-based analysis and enabling the processing of larger datasets. Additionally, we discuss potential issues in developing a comprehensive and effective model.
