A quasi-experimental study comparing a VR, computer-based, and face-to-face Alzheimer’s embodiment education scenario, “Beatriz”
AI-enhanced VR effectively improved empathy and early-stage confidence, suggesting strong benefits for dementia education. However, it did not surpass traditional methods in improving factual knowledge. AI-driven VR has promising implications for enhancing therapeutic and caregiving practices for aging populations. Further research should explore long-term impacts and direct older adult care applications.
