SOLVENT FREE TECHNIQUES IN ORGANIC REACTIONS A REVIEW
Solventless chemistry or solvent free techniques are one of the most emerging topics in field of chemistry. Conventional chemistry is no doubt stands tall in case of industrial application while considering the global economics. But as the time has been progressed there comes the demand for sustainability as well which is now understood very well by the people. So this review article contains the selected and most widely used solvent free techniques for organic reactions. Main emphasis is on eliminating the solvent rather than using green solvents as it is better to eliminate rather to think how to recycle. Mechanochemistry, most feasible methods which is highly efficient if we consider yield and also applicable for plethora of reactions. Microwave assisted synthesis is high in demand due to rapid product yield which saves the most important thing of the world i.e. time. Organic reactions can also be done using ultrasonic waves which works uniquely on atomic scale by generating very good reaction conditions which makes the reaction to proceed and thus producing good yield of product and study of this chemistry is termed as organic sonochemistry.
