Front Cover: Transition Metal‐Free <i>Ortho‐</i> Deuteration of Electron‐Deficient <i>N</i> ‐Heteroarenes (Eur. J. Org. Chem. 42/2025)

The Front Cover shows an approach to replacing a hydrogen by a deuterium atom on a six-membered N-heteroaromatic ring (pyridine/pyrimidine/pyrazine/pyridazine) by using directed ortho metalation followed by quenching with D2O. The insertion of deuterium is depicted by the piece displaying the new C─D bond forming the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
