THE IMPACT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL NURSING UNDER PALLIATIVE CARE MODE ON THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STATUS OF LATE STAGE HEMATOLOGICAL CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES
Abstract Objectives To analyze the effect of psychological nursing under the palliative care mode on the quality of life of patients with advanced hematological tumors and the psychological status of their families members. Methods 102 patients with advanced hematological tumors admitted to our hospital between January 2023 and January 2025 were selected as the subjects of this study. They were randomly divided into a control group (51 cases, conventional nursing provided) and an observation group (51 cases, psychological nursing in the context of palliative care administered) using a random number table method. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results The observation group scored significantly better than the control group in terms of physiological function, emotional state, social support, and overall quality of life (p<.05); The SAS and SDS scores of the family members in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (p<.05); The satisfaction of the observation group patients with nursing services was significantly better than that of the control group. Conclusions Implementing psychological nursing interventions under the palliative care model can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with advanced hematological tumors, improve their physiological and emotional states, help alleviate the anxiety and depression of patients’ families, improve overall nursing satisfaction, and have high clinical value.
