CLINICAL STUDY ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH STATUS AND INFLUENCING FACTORS OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS

Abstract Objective To analyze the psychological health status and influencing factors of patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis in clinical research. Method 100 patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis were selected as the subjects of this study. A cross-sectional survey analysis design was used to comprehensively evaluate the psychological health status of patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis and explore its related influencing factors. Result: After research, 48 out of 100 patients had good mental health and 52 had poor mental health. Patients in the group with good mental health have better average age, education level, and monthly income than those in the group with poor mental health. The scores of anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and somatization in the group with poor mental health were significantly higher than those in the group with good mental health. Using mental health status as the dependent variable), the results showed that age, education level, income, and dialysis time were significant influencing factors. Conclusion There are many psychological health problems among patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis, which are related to age, education level, income, and dialysis time. Patients with poor mental health exhibit more pronounced symptoms such as anxiety and depression. In clinical intervention, psychological assessment and intervention should be strengthened, especially focusing on patients who are elderly, have low educational levels, face economic difficulties, and have been on dialysis for a long time, to help them reduce psychological pressure and improve their quality of life.
