ANALYSIS OF PROGNOSTIC INFLUENCING FACTORS FOR SEVERE FEVER WITH THROMBOCYTOPENIA SYNDROME

Abstract Objectives To explore the clinical value of gender, age, alcohol consumption, smoking, whether combined with hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic diseases, and the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) after one week of treatment in the prognosis of patients with severe fever thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS). Methods Sixty SFTS patients hospitalized in our hospital from 2021 to 2022 were selected and divided into survival group (n = 50) and death group (n = 10) according to the prognosis. Single factor and multi factor logistic regression analysis were used to compare the difference of AST and LDH levels between survival group and death group in terms of gender, age, alcohol consumption, smoking, concomitant hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic diseases, and treatment for one week, and analyze their impact on the prognosis of patients. Results The age of the death group was greater than that of the survival group (p<.05). The proportions of the death group with hypertension, diabetes and heart disease were higher than those of the survival group (p<.05). One week after treatment, the levels of AST and LDH in the survival group were significantly lower than those in the death group (p<.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that diabetes, heart disease, and the level of LDH one week after treatment were the influencing factors for patient death. Conclusions The prognosis of patients with SFTS is affected by factors such as age, whether combined with diabetes or heart disease, and the level of LDH one week after treatment.
