Verification of the T-cell developmental stage at which RLM11 and AKR1G1 thymoma cell lines are arrested 9062
Abstract Description A variety of cell lines are used routinely for in vitro studies as fair representation of developmental stages; however, no consistent effort has been made to verify the presumed developmental stage. Here we investigate the AKR1G1 and RLM11 mouse thymoma cell lines that are used as representatives of the double positive (DP) and intermediate (INT) stages of T-cell development, respectively. Using RNAseq and flowcytometry, we compare the two cell lines to each other and to published data from CD4 single positive lymphocytes to determine that they accurately match their assigned developmental stages and refine RLM11 assignment to the late intermediate stage.
