AZDye-647 conjugated chemokines: powerful tools in studying ligand-receptor interactions 3330
Abstract Description In cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases, chemokines and their receptors are pivotal to processes such as tumor progression, metastasis, shaping the tumor microenvironment, cell migration and sustaining inflammatory responses. Elucidating the mechanisms behind these interactions is essential for developing novel therapeutic strategies, offering key insights into immune regulation and supporting drug discovery. Consequently, the development of tools and methods to study ligand-receptor interactions is of paramount importance for developing targeted treatments. Directly conjugated bioactive chemokines are powerful research tools offering distinct advantages over antibodies. Unlike antibodies, these conjugated chemokines allow real-time tracking of bioactive receptors enabling live, time-lapse monitoring of cellular responses in individual cells. BioLegend/Revvity has developed AZDye 647-conjugated bioactive chemokines including CCL5, CCL21 and CXCL12 that have been validated for use in immunocytochemistry (ICC), flow cytometry (FC), bioassays, and live-cell imaging. These chemokines exhibit specific binding and signaling through their respective receptors. Live imaging has demonstrated their ability to bind to bioactive receptors, enabling the tracking of signaling events from initial receptor binding through internalization and eventual degradation. Hence, these chemokines are powerful tools for advancing research in receptor-ligand interactions. Topic Categories Cytokines and Chemokines and Their Receptors (CCR)
