Organophosphorus-induced Early Myelopathy: A Rare Presentation of Organophosphate-induced Delayed Polyneuropathy

REPORTbradycardia. As the patient was in cholinergic crisis, we started IV atropine immediately and continuous infusion in IVF with injection.Pralidoxime, along with antiemetics, is used in the general ward. Thirty hours post-OP ingestion, the patient suddenly developed respiratory distress with drooping of the neck and saturation deteriorating.Following this, he was shifted to the ITU and was put on mechanical ventilation.Atropine infusion was gradually increased to 9 mL/hour.He responded to the treatment, was extubated and step down gradually, and shifted to the general ward after 10 days of ITU stay.He was discharged 2 days after in a hemodynamically stable condition and advised to follow up in OPD. Four weeks postingestion of OP, the patient presented in OPD with gradual onset weakness of the bilateral lower limb for 7 days. The patient first noticed weakness while walking, which progressed gradually over a few days to the point where the patient needed
