GREEN FINANCE SUPPORTS RURAL REVITALIZATION: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON METAPOPULATION THEORY
Identifying rural renewal patterns is a key strategy for guiding the development of green finance and addressing rural underdevelopment. This study analyzed the logic of metapopulation theory, developed a framework for using metapopulation dynamics to identify village renewal patterns, and conducted empirical research in Kaihua County, Zhejiang Province. The results indicate that constructing a comprehensive index system for identifying village renewal patterns from both macro and micro perspectives enables the classification of villages into four distinct types: clustering promotion, stability control, exit renovation, and relocation and consolidation. Corresponding to these patterns, village renewal modes such as urbanization transformation, in-situ reconstruction of residential land, partial reduction of residential land, and total reduction of residential land were proposed. These modes support rural green finance development by channeling economic investments from Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) into rural revitalization initiatives.
