Airway management in post-burn contracture of the neck: A case report
Post-burn contractures are a common complication following burn injuries and often require surgical release to restore function and appearance. These cases pose significant challenges for airway management due to anatomical distortion. Despite advancements in airway adjuncts, awake fiberoptic-guided intubation remains the gold standard in such scenarios. We report the airway management strategy employed in a young female patient scheduled for contracture release and skin grafting of the neck, following burns involving the face, neck, and upper chest.
