Structure design and optimization of 55 kW high power electric radiation tube for quenching furnace

The power of the electric radiation tube in industrial production is generally between 10 and 20 kW, which belongs to the small power electric radiation tube. There is almost no research on the high-power electric radiation tube above 50 kW, and the application in industrial production is even less. In this paper, a new type of 55 kW electric radiation tube is designed for specific use scenarios, which makes up for the research gap of existing high-power electric radiation tubes. In this paper, not only is a new type of 55 kW electric radiation tube designed, but also the structure optimization is carried out through the use effect. The structure of the resistance wire and the ceramic body skeleton is optimized. The results show that the electric radiation tube after structural optimization meets the heating requirements of the quenching furnace, and the maximum average temperature of the resistance wire can reach 1200 °C, which meets the heating requirements of the workpiece. The average temperature difference of each resistance wire is only 4–10 °C, which has good temperature uniformity. The temperature difference of the radiant tube sleeve is about 45–55 °C. Compared with the traditional gas radiant tube, the electric radiant tube sleeve has high temperature uniformity, which can improve the heating efficiency and prolong the service life of the radiant tube.
