Magnetization properties of radially polarized Lorentz–Gaussian vortex beams in a 4π focusing system

Based on the vector diffraction theory and the inverse Faraday effect (IFE), this paper explores the light-induced magnetization properties of radially polarized Lorentz–Gaussian vortex beams in a 4 π high numerical aperture (NA) focusing system. The results show that modulating the topological charge m influences the number of magnetization chains (a chain of subwavelength longitudinal magnetization spots) and the separation distance between the two chains, while also inducing new weak magnetization spots on the optical axis. By modulating the relative Lorentz parameter w y , the length of the magnetization chain can be altered. Modulating the relative Gaussian parameter w x also changes the length of the magnetization chain. In addition to this, it changes the width, with the change being smaller at the distal end of the chain and larger for the magnetization spots near the geometric focus. These unique magnetization field distributions may have potential applications in atom trapping, magnetic resonance microscopy, and magneto-optical data storage.
