Lateral Tarsoconjunctival Flap in Patients with Enophthalmos and Parry-Romberg Syndrome
Idiopathic progressive hemifacial atrophy (IPHA), or Parry-Romberg syndrome, is associated with ophthalmologic manifestations such as enophthalmos-associated ectropion. The authors demonstrate the use of the lateral tarsoconjunctival flap as a technique to address lower lid ectropion and cicatricial retraction secondary to enophthalmos as a low-risk and long-lasting reconstructive method to improve eyelid competence and cosmesis of patients with IPHA.
