AHMED RASİM HİKÂYELERİNDE KADIN ERKEK İLİŞİKİLERİNİN AİLE VE TOPLUMA YANSIMALARI

Turkish storytelling has undergone a great change and transformation since its inception. One of the most important missions of storytelling in Turkish literature is to shed light on social failures and try to correct them. Especially in the Tanzimat period, the writers foresaw the degeneration in society caused by the great civilisation crisis and included examples in their works.Ahmet Rasim, born in the second half of the nineteenth century, is an important writer who closely observed the social life in Istanbul and transferred his observations to his works with sincerity. Based on the stories of the author, who works in many genres, the emphasis on how positive or negative male and female attitudes are reflected in the family and society will be discussed.Ahmet Rasim wrote non-stop throughout his life and continued to write until the end of his life. The author, who has written in many genres and subjects, believes that it is right to adopt the innovations coming from the West without ignoring the national taste and civilised life that have been cultivated for centuries. In this respect, in his stories, he tried to give some messages to the rest of the society through sections from the lives of social characters trying to keep up with the age without ignoring this situation or corrupting national spiritual values.In this study, it will be analysed how the men and women who make up the society are fictionalised in the environments that the society finds legitimate or illegitimate in Ahmet Rasim's selected stories. Based on these life scenes, the patterns that the author aims to change, transform and correct in society will be emphasised. The family structures of the period, the positive and negative sides of the positive or negative behaviours of women and men that go beyond the social norms will be examined based on the stories.The conceptual framework of the study will consist of Turkish literature and social life in Tanzimat and its reflections on Ahmet Rasim's stories. Qualitative research methods and literature review research methods and techniques will be used for this study.
