Amazing particles and light

Particle accelerators were invented in the early 20th century to study nuclear and particle physics. Nevertheless, particle accelerators have found increasing applications in generating powerful radiation light sources for many areas of research. On the other hand, various advanced particle beam techniques involve the use of lasers and the radiation produced by the beam itself. This paper is a personal reflection of several aspects of interactions between particles and light.
