Luminescent nanomaterials for photodynamic therapy of glioma
Tumors are difficult to treat due to their complex biological characteristics and resistance to traditionaltreatment methods. Photodynamic therapy (PDT), as an emerging treatment method, has gradually becomea research hotspot for treating tumors, and has received widespread attention due to its targeting andminimal side effects. However, some current photodynamic therapies stil have some shortcomings, such asweak tissue penetration ability of light, low tumor targeting ability of photosensitizers, and hypoxia in thetumor microenvironment. The emergence of self luminous nanomaterials provides new ideas for PDT, as theycan not only serve as effective photosensitizers but also achieve multifunctionality, such as drug carriers andbiological imaging.
