New application of microvascular-ultrasound: guiding the treatment of photodynamic therapy for vascular diseases
In clinical work, we found that ultrasound with different blood-flow blood flow signals, which may suggest different treatment effect of HMME-PDT. So, we wan to explore the efffect of microvascular ultrasound of treatment for vascular diseases. We retrospectively analyzed 407 patients received HMME-PDT from 2017 to 2024. All patient was divided into two groups with high or low flow blood signals. After one session HMME-PDT, these patients were evaluated for efficacy. The different blood-flow signal of ultrasound means different treatment efficacy. And the microvascular-ultrasound could show the condition of vascular and predict the efficacy of PDT, so the treatment plan can be adjusted before treatment, including treatment parameters or combination with other therapy.
