1064nm Nd: YAG laser combined with ALA-PDT for the treatment of a patient with giant phymatous rosacea
This article shows that the therapy of 1064nm Nd: YAG laser combined with ALA-PDT in the treatment of giant phymatous rosacea has a good effect, and can be used as a supplementary treatment for refractory rosacea in clinical practice. Physical examination found that the patient's nose had huge tissue hyperplasia, abundant sebaceous glands and thick blood vessels, with significant disfigurement. Taking into account the patient's age and poor basic condition, 1064nm Nd: YAG laser and ALA-PDT was planed in stages. After 3 sessions of 1064nm Nd:YAG laser and 3 sessions of ALA-PDT, the patient’ he patient's nose returned to normal shape basically, and the appearance was significantly improved. 1064nm Nd:YAG laser' cutting effect can reshape the shape of the nose, and the gasification and coagulation effect can reduce intraoperative bleeding. ALA-PDT can achieve the effect of atrophy of sebaceous glands and blood vessels.
