Comparison of efficacy and safety as well as the hemoporfin plasma concentration in photodynamic therapy of port wain stain with different drug-light intervals

In ortder to investigate the efficacy and safety as well as the hemoporfin plasma concentration in two different drug-light intervals. We set a randomized controlled AB/BA cross-over study design in which each participant experiences two different drug-light intervals treatment. Fifty patients were enrolled in this study. The time to plasma peak concentration of hemoporfin in the two groups was 5min and 20min respectively, both occurred at the end of the infusion. There was no statistical difference in the minimal plasma concentration between the two groups during the irradiation, but the peak concentration of 5min group was significantly higher than that of 20min group (P < 0.05). With the same irradiation dose, patients in the 5min group showed better efficacy and higher local reactions than 20min group (P<0.05). The early swelling and purpura could predict scabby and efficacy in some estant.
