The Synergistic Effects of Photodynamic Therapy and Immunotherapy in the Treatment of Skin Cancer
This study investigates the synergistic effects of photodynamic therapy (PDT) combined with immunotherapy in the treatment of skin cancer. By reviewing current clinical and experimental data, the study analyzes the underlying mechanisms, advantages, and challenges of combining PDT with immunotherapy. The findings suggest that PDT enhances the efficacy of immunotherapy by activating the immune system through localized photosensitizing reactions, which in turn strengthens the tumor immune response. The combination therapy overcomes the limitations of monotherapies, demonstrating superior therapeutic potential and anti-tumor effects. This paper provides novel insights into the combined application of PDT and immunotherapy and offers valuable references for developing clinical treatment strategies for skin cancer.
