Additive Reversed Hazards Quantile Model: Properties and Applications
In recent times, the modeling and analysis of past lifetime data have been an important problem for many researchers. The studies of the same in the quantile framework are also found to be an efficient alternative and an effective methodology. Motivated by this, this study proposes an additive reversed hazards model in the quantile framework and studies its various properties and applications. We investigate the conditions under which the reversed hazard rate can be increasing and can assume different nonmonotone shapes. Finally, the usefulness of the model is illustrated using real-life data sets.
