Non-Surgical Therapeutic Strategies for Non-Melanoma Skin Cancers
Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) is the most common malignancy globally, with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) comprising the majority of cases. This study reviews innovative non-surgical therapeutic approaches for treating NMSC. The research explores various non-surgical options, including photodynamic therapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy, evaluating their efficacy and challenges. Emerging therapies such as combination photodynamic therapy and checkpoint blockade demonstrate enhanced antitumor effects and improved patient outcomes. These findings emphasize the need for multidisciplinary approaches and personalized treatment plans.
