Bionic nanoliposome synergistic photodynamic immunotherapy for the treatment of hypoxic tumors and multimodal imaging to achieve visual companion diagnosis and treatment
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is commonly used as an “in situ vaccine” that drives the cancer immune circulation to kill tumor cells. ALA-PDT therapy has fixed limitations on the depth of tumor penetration, thus restricting its effectiveness and treatment efficiency in solid tumors. To overcome this issue, we used film hydration method synthesis 5-ALA nanoliposomes (named ALA@Lipos) with hyaluronic acid-targeting function, which can induce ICD of tumor cells under 635 nm light irradiation. Through real-time live fluorescence of small animals, dynamic parameters of PpIX concentration and sO 2 concentration changes are integrated, and tumor boundaries are identified to achieve visual companion diagnosis and treatment. Meanwhile, combined treatment of aPD-1 and nanoliposomes enhances the synergistic effects of PDT and immunotherapy. Effectively inhibit primary and distant subcutaneous 4T1 tumor recurrence.
