A case of nevus-like solitary basal cell carcinoma of the planta pedis
Basal cell carcinoma(BCC) is the most common skin cancer and is usually located in the head, chest, and neck areas where hair grows and sunlight is exposed. The soles of the feet are rarely exposed to sunlight, so BCC rarely occurs on the soles of the feet. But rarely in the foot position. We present a case of a 58-year-old man presenting with isolated dark spots on the soles of his feet for two years. History of trauma, exposure to hazardous substances, basal cell carcinoma syndrome, and xeroderma pigmentosum were excluded. There was no family history of skin tumors or genetic disorders. The clinical manifestations were similar to melanocytic nevi, and histopathological examination showed typical basal cell carcinoma. It is hoped to help improve the understanding of basal cell carcinoma.
