Efficacy and Safety of Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) in the Treatment of Rosacea: A Clinical Study

This single-center, randomized, split-face controlled clinical study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) in treating rosacea over a 12-week period with six treatment sessions. Ten subjects are enrolled, with one side of the face receiving a combination of medical skincare hydrogel, Klox® antimicrobial gels, and visible blue light therapy (450±10 nm, 20–50 mW/cm², 10 minutes/session), while the control side receives blue light only. Clinical assessments include CEA scores, lesion counts, FSQ, IGA, and CBS imaging at defined intervals. Blinded evaluators assess outcomes at baseline and follow-up. Preliminary results from five participants suggest favorable safety, tolerability, and potential therapeutic benefit, with one subject opting into extended treatment. Further data are forthcoming.
