Impact of f(Q) gravity on Gravastar solutions in the Finch–Skea framework

In this paper, we present a gravastar model within the [Formula: see text] gravity framework (where [Formula: see text] is the non-metricity) using the Finch–Skea metric. Our model explores gravastars as a viable alternative to black holes, consisting of three distinct regions: an inner core with negative energy density, a surrounding thin shell and an outer region described by the Schwarzschild solution. The Israel junction conditions are used to connect the interior and exterior regions, allowing the calculation of surface energy density and surface pressure for these objects. We examine key physical properties such as proper length, entropy, energy conditions, energy and the equation of state parameter. Additionally, we investigate stability of the gravastar through the effective potential, causality condition, adiabatic index and redshift. Our findings suggest that this compact object structure offers a compelling alternative to black holes within this framework.
