Acquisition of Cadastral Reconnaissance Survey Data Using a Location-based Mobile Augmented Reality System
This study aimed to analyze the technical feasibility and practical applicability of introducing L-MAR (Location-based Mobile Augmented Reality) technology into field operations for cadastral surveying. To this end, a field application method and procedure for a MAR system utilizing high-precision, location-based positioning information were proposed. In the cadastral reconnaissance surveying, the boundaries of a building object were modeled in AR, uploaded to the L-MAR System, and directly tracked in the field to analyze positioning accuracy. As a result, a positioning accuracy of approximately ±10cm was achieved in boundary determination for cadastral reconnaissance surveying, which satisfied all permissible tolerances prescribed in Article 27(1)(4) of the 「Enforcement Rule of the Cadastral Survey Act」. From this, the applicability and practical potential of L-MAR technology in the field of cadastral surveying were comprehensively demonstrated.
