Development and Design of THz-Pulse Generators for Broadband Pulse-Based Transceiver Systems
In this work, we propose two approaches for a fully integrated THz pulse generator as a solution for broadband pulse-based transceiver systems. These concepts utilize high bandwidth and can provide precise measurements for various application scenarios, including enhancing resource efficiency in the manufacturing of energy-intensive products through inline sensor material thickness control. For both realized circuits, the expected frequency components were verified up to 110 GHz and 500 GHz, respectively. Additionally, a transient pulse in the picosecond pulsewidth range was reconstructed from the spectrum, demonstrating the feasibility of the designs.
