Radar Based Torso Tracking in Radiation Therapy
In this article, we introduce an innovative method for torso surface extraction and tracking for applications in radiation therapy. Our system combines a real-time ultra-wideband (UWB) radar imaging system with algorithms exploiting the phase values of the radar image. Notably, we employ a Fourier-based unwrapping algorithm for surface extraction, complemented by an additional unwrapping process for tracking in time. The performance of the system and the algorithm is evaluated, yielding a relative error in the sub-millimeter range.
