COEXISTENCE OF KERATOCONUS AND AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION: AN UNUSUAL CASE REPORT

Keratoconus and macular choroidal neovascularization are distinct ocular diseases affecting different anatomical structures. Keratoconus is a progressive corneal ectasia, usually diagnosed in younger patients that can lead to severe visual impairment. In contrast, macular choroidal neovascularization is a leading cause of central vision loss in elderly. We report an unusual case of 60-year-old male presenting with the coexistence of keratoconus and macular choroidal neovascularization.
